Infinity Soccer Kickoff

Dear District 7 Coaches, Players and Parents,

I hope this letter finds you well as we are mid way through another cold and wet Spring soccer season. I am writing to you as a former player, a parent, a fellow coach at the district, high school and state levels, a referee, and a former district 7 board member for the past 9 years. Those of you that know me are aware of my commitment level to the success of soccer in our District.

Over the years, it has become apparent that the needs of many of our players are not being met in our district. We have an increasing number of players each year, all of them in need of development and training, enabling them to play at the highest level possible if they so desire. We need more qualified coaches. We need more unity at all levels among our community in order to better represent District 7 at the state level.

Because of this, I am extending an invitation to you to attend a meeting regarding the announcement of a new soccer club program within our District. A program designed to educate, develop, train and enable. I am excited to be involved in this new venture that is designed to help fulfill the needs of many of our players. Also involved is coach Jeff Ginn, who recently relocated here from Iowa, where he coached at Iowa Western Community College and has the experience of successfully starting up a club in Council Bluffs, Iowa from the ground level. Jeff is equally dedicated and excited to be here and involved. Together, we are ready to work for the benefit of our players in fulfilling the needs they have.

Are you interested in learning more about this new club opportunity that is starting up for the Fall 2008 season? Come join us at the Ellen Eccles Conference Center at Utah State University 7:00pm on May 5th or May 6th to learn more about the program we are offering at our Infinity Soccer "kickoff" meeting. We hope to see you there! The Conference Center is SE of the parking terrace where you can park for free. Watch for Infinity Soccer signs.

Sincerely,

Sherri Dever
Jeff Ginn

Lost Wedding Ring?

posted on Sunday, April 27, 2008

From Brian McCuskey (563-5019) on April 27:

This afternoon on the U-8 field at Cedar Ridge, in front of the north goal, I found a man's large gold wedding ring.  If you can forward this email to anyone you know (other coaches, parents, District 7 people) who might have used that field on Saturday--or who might know someone who knows someone, etc.--then perhaps the email chain will eventually catch up with the person who lost it.  I will also put a sign on the goalpost.

Soccer Festival Was a Success!

posted on Thursday, February 28, 2008
CV Soccer Academy’s first ever soccer festival was a success. The event that took place last Saturday at USU’s Stan Laub showcased some great soccer to our community.

Events like our soccer festival really help build a sense of community within our sport and relationships with those outside the valley.

J.C. Vazquez, one of the coaches who attended the event, said, “I think it was very well organized and parents and players enjoyed it very much. I would be very interested in continuing participating if the Soccer Academy decides to organize another event.”

Our staff received many emails from guest teams and clubs congratulating us for the event. Due to the great success of our first soccer festival, a second festival will be announced for mid-march. Permalink | Post RSSRSS comment feed
